Why study sculpture at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ?

Our sculpture courses offer a wide range of skills and specialisms for all levels: from beginners wanting to try something new to advanced students wanting to develop their practice.

Our tutors are specialist artist practitioners and will provide practical skills as well as stimulate your imagination. You will explore such materials and processes as clay life modelling, steel construction, stone and wood carving, plaster casting and modelling, mould making, automata sculpture, found object construction and bronze casting. Our courses offer the opportunity to:

• Work with your hands and explore materials creatively
• Access a well-equipped sculpture studio
• Learn alongside like-minded people
• Benefit from specialist sculpture tutoring
• Study during the day, in the evening or at weekends with our short or long term courses
• Acquire a traditional or contemporary sculptural skill

Students who study sculpture courses at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ have the possibility to display their work in the college’s exhibition spaces including ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Gallery, the Bawden cases as part of the the biannual Made ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ and the new annual college entrance sculpture competition.
